Four Minnesota Teams Heading to Destination Imagination Global Competition

(Minnesota) — April 19th, 2024 —   Four Minnesota teams of Destination Imagine students are heading to global finals.  Two teams from Rosemount, as well as one Osseo, and one from Minneapolis, have qualified for the Destination Imagination Global Finals in Kansas City, Missouri May 22-25.

Destination Imagination is a project-based, kid-driven program that teaches kids to be innovative problem solvers. Using STEAM, teams of students collaborate, think outside the box, and create unique solutions to one of seven different challenges in preparation for a fun, problem-solving competition.

They have the talent to earn a spot in the competition, but they need help bringing home the win. Each team has set up a GoFundMe page in hopes of getting enough to afford the competition fees and travel for the team.

About Destination Imagination

The Destination Imagination global community is united by a core belief that when students have the freedom to grow and collaborate without boundaries, their confidence explodes and the world opens up to them in new ways. We enable this transformation by providing challenges rooted in STEAM subjects that inspire unique solutions through the use of the creative process.

We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to tell their story, share their unique creations and be celebrated for what they’ve accomplished. Through witnessing this process of creative self-expression and validation, students blossom into more confident and knowledgeable individuals.
