Tina Rice Named LAPW Woman of the Year.
(Alexandria, MN) — March 30th, 2022 — Each year the Lake Area Professional Women (LAPW) of Alexandria honor two employers and one woman.     Employers include Large Employer of the Year (25 or More employees) and Small Employer of the Year (Fewer than 25 employees.)  There is also one Woman of the Year Award.
 
The selection of employer of the year is based on how well a company supports fairness in the workplace and demonstrates sensitivity to the needs of all employees.  They are also judged on training, recruitment, upward mobility, community support and developing women leaders.
 
The selection of the LAPW Woman of the year is based on her accomplishments, how she used her voice to advocate for women, as well as involvement in organizations and community projects.   In addition, how she contributed to LAPW’s organization is also taken into account.
 
 
This year the Large Employer of the Year  is Vance Thompson Vision of Alexandria.
 
 
The Small Employer of the Year is Palmer Creations of Glenwood.
 
 
 
And, the Lakes Area Professional Women Announced Woman of the Year is Tina Rice.
 
The awards were given at a the annual LAPW luncheon on March 30th at the Broadway Broadway Ballroom in Alexandria.
