(Alexandria MN) — March 23rd, 2024 — The Lakes Area Professional Women (LAPW) hosted its 30th Anniversary Gala on March 21, 2024, at the Arrowwood Resort & Conference Center from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. This prestigious event will commemorate three decades of recognizing and celebrating the remarkable achievements of women entrepreneurs and businesses in the Lakes Area.
Also honored at the Gala, were the 2024 winners of three distinguished awards.
The WOW! Award for Woman-Owned Workplace is presented to a business that has shown exceptional growth, innovation, and success. The winner was Infinite Design Consulting, LLC.
The Paying It Forward Award recognizes a business that has made significant contributions to the community through philanthropy, with a special focus on initiatives supporting women in the workplace and their families. The winner was Gardonville Cooperative Telephone.
The Trailblazer Award is given to a business that has been instrumental in creating opportunities for women in industries typically dominated by males. This years winner was Millerville Co-op Creamery for their efforts in paving the way for women’s success.
Highlighting the evening was the presentation of the 2024 Woman of the Year Award which was awarded to Amy Christopherson of State Farm Insurance, in recognition of her outstanding contributions and leadership within the community.
