(Rochester, MN) — April 27, 2022 — The Ronald McDonald House of Rochester, Minnesota, Inc is in its 3rd year of its Distinguished Volunteer Award, an award to honor a volunteer who exemplifies the core values of the House, and who stands out for their extraordinary service and dedication.
Lindsay Young joined as a volunteer in 2005 and is a dynamic individual with a passion for assisting in a multitude of ways to the House and giving back to her community. She goes above and beyond as a HouseWarmer, family activities volunteer, gardener, and special events volunteer. She supports our House Dinner program by making and serving meals to families and is a special grocery delivery service. She serves on the Volunteer Committee and Development Committee and is a trusted member of the Medical Advisory Committee. She is also a current member of the Board of Trustees.
She is warm, welcoming, caring, compassionate, and always eager to assist families, co-volunteers, and staff in any way. With her thoughtful ways, she leads with heart and knowledge. People are drawn to her kindness and leave a little brighter after meeting her. She is a team player and a leader among many. Her selflessness, compassion, and talents are second to none and the House is so fortunate to have her. Beyond the Ronald McDonald House, she is also a dedicated volunteer with Feed My Starving Children and with her church just to name a few.
There is no limit to Lindsay’s willingness to help the House achieve its mission. Her love for children and families and passion for the House shines through in all she does.
