Mosley and APM Studios Also Set to Co-Produce New Series Set for Early 2024
(Minneapolis/St Paul, MN) — March 31st, 2023 — “Truth Be Told” Season 5, Exploring the Psychedelic Renaissance and the Black Diaspora, to Launch Thursday, April 13.
APM Studios announced it has signed a distribution deal with Tonya Mosley’s award-winning podcast “Truth Be Told.” APM Studios will handle distribution, sales and marketing for the show ahead of the Season 5 premiere on Thursday, April 13.
In addition, APM Studios and Mosley will co-produce a new limited series set to premiere in early 2024.

“Truth Be Told” Season 5, entitled How to Get Free, explores what the latest psychedelic renaissance means for the Black diaspora and how psychedelics can be used to find healing for those who’ve experienced PTSD due to racial trauma. The six-episode season will roll out weekly.
Since its launch in 2019, “Truth Be Told” has brought listeners soul-nourishing conversations about what it means to grow and thrive as a Black person in America while discovering new ways of being that serve as a portal to more love, more healing, and more joy. “Truth Be Told” is a TMI Production in association with American Public Media.
About Tonya Mosley
Tonya Mosley is an award-winning broadcast journalist with a career that spans two decades. In addition to creating and hosting “Truth Be Told,” she is a regular interviewer for NPR’s signature long-form program “Fresh Air” and the former co-host of NPR’s national midday show “Here & Now.” Mosley has won several awards for her work, including a 2022 Webby Award for Best Advice Podcast, a Society of Professional Journalists Award for Best Podcast, and an Emmy award in 2015 for her PBS series “Beyond Ferguson.” As a John S. Knight Fellow at Stanford University, Tonya worked with social scientists to create an anti-bias curriculum for newsrooms. She has led anti-bias workshops for newsrooms in the U.S., Italy, Australia and Germany. Tonya currently lives in Los Angeles, California.
