(Minneapolis, MN) — August 28th, 2022 — Twin Cities community comes together for the 7th annual year of “Finish the Run” to celebrate the life of David Forster through running and community building.
Finish The Run was created to honor the life of David Forster – an elite marathon runner who collapsed and passed away suddenly while on a training run at just 27-years-old. We are taking the baton from David to create a movement to “Finish The Run.” This event is meant to inspire and empower us all to live intentionally in our mission to support others to “finish their run.” There will be an after-party at Able Seedhouse & Brewery following the run.
Anyone is welcome to attend this event where they will be joined by David’s parents Sandy and Dave along with other loved ones. There is a 5K run and a 2K walk, something for everyone.

The purpose of Finish The Run is to not only honor David’s life but to keep his memory alive by giving back. Proceeds from Finish The Run will go towards Girls on the Run Minnesota, physical-activity based development programming equipping 3-8th grad girls in maintaining healthy habits and culminating in a 5k.
