Make a difference while rediscovering nature at the Minnesota Zoo
(Apple Valley, MN)– September 11, 2023 – Ever wonder how much seafood a sea otter eats? Or what a moose nibbles on in the winter? On Saturday, September 23, the Minnesota Zoo’s animal nutritionist, Kelly, will be showcasing what it takes to nutritiously feed the nearly 5,000 animals that call the Minnesota Zoo home.
This is part of the new Beastly Bash weekend. Beastly Bash is the annual fundraising event hosted by the Minnesota Zoo Foundation in support of the Zoo. This year’s Bash is bigger than ever, transforming from a single-night gala into a weekend of natural delight.
Split over two days, Beastly Bash will continue to feature an evening Gala on Friday, September 22, followed by a new daytime Zoo experience on Saturday, September 23, called Beastly Bash – The Gathering.
The Gathering on Saturday is open to all who are interested in connecting with the Zoo and Zoo Foundation on a deeper level. This new experience features a day at the Zoo filled with onsite activities, called Hope Stations, to encourage community philanthropy and education. Online ticket reservations are needed in advance; tickets to The Gathering are included with a suggested donation to the Zoo Foundation. Bask in the sounds of nature, see animal ambassadors strut their stuff, and marvel at special shows and demonstrations, such as Cooking with Kelly the Zoo Nutritionist.
Be part of the Beastly Bash weekend and rediscover nature, and the ways you can make a difference, at the Minnesota Zoo. Get tickets at mnzoo.org/BeastlyBash.
