Guido van Helten Silo Art

Downtown Mankato plays host to art of monumental proportions.   Artist Guido van Helten painted the mural on the Ardent Mills silos in 2020.  Each Silo is 135 feet tall.   One side of the artwork is visible from Hwy 169, but it’s worth a stop to see the entire work.  More details can be found on the Mankato City Art Webpage.

Mayo Health System

  (Mankato MN) — February 22, 2022 ― Mayo Clinic Health System will expand and modernize its Mankato hospital by adding three new floors atop an existing two-story building on the campus. The new structure will feature 121 additional hospital beds and numerous other improvements. “We are very excited to see the region’s long-standing vision of a hospital expansion come to fruition,” says James Hebl, M.D., regional vice president of Mayo Clinic Health
